Our annual evening of short talks, music and storytelling expands this year to include a one-day conference, featuring a lineup of powerful voices and presentations.
IMAGINATE culminates in an “Evening of Possibility” in the historic Concert Hall. Earlybird passes available until February 16.
8:30 am - 4:00 pm A variety of plenary sessions as well as morning and afternoon workshop options are offered. Refreshments and lunch included.
Conference highlights: • Jesse Thistle, Metis-Cree PhD Scholar, opens the day with his story of trauma and transformation. • Performance by Birds of Chicago, playing a spine-tingling mix of music with deep roots • Truth and Re-imagination, First Nations voices, including Drew Hayden Taylor, on visioning a path forward through story, art and Indigenous ways of knowing.
Green Wood Coalition is a street-level, charitable organization that uses a community model of caring to walk alongside people who are hungry, homeless and hurting, from a base in Port Hope, Ontario.
