IMAGINATE presenter speaks her truth for first time

When Arlene Howells, the sole local presenter, mounts the stage at IMAGINATE, she’ll talk about hope when all the odds are stacked against you.

Howells, an independent communications and change consultant, has lived in Port Hope for over 20 years. She volunteers for countless charities, serves on boards – including Green Wood Coalition – and works tirelessly to make life better for those who struggle among us. That’s what most people know about her.

But there’s a lot they don’t know.

This Friday, for the first time, she will tell her personal story of trauma and triumph. “In coming to terms with giving this talk, I’ve had to come to terms with fears that have followed me my entire life.”

She will share her thoughts on how to move from trauma to hope and live life on your own terms.
