OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19 3/14/2020
As we all adjust our lives to stay up to date with COVID-19, and advice from health experts, Green Wood Coalition has decided to change some of our community programming. Green Wood programs that will be cancelled until further notice:
Monday Yoga Group
Wednesday Community Dinners
Thursday Art Hive
Green Wood activity that will continue:
Individual in-person support
Street outreach
Green Wood can help to connect you to:
Food bank and free meals when they are available
Hygiene and Harm Reduction supplies
Current and up to date information
“Green Wood is a community, and this is a time when
we need to look after one another. We feel
community gatherings are not wise at this time,
but staying in touch is important.”
-Caleb Carisse, Green Wood Coalition Board Chair
Finally, we will postpone IMAGINATE, our Evening of Possibility and one-day social awareness conference that would have taken place April 16 & 17. We look forward to rescheduling this event as soon as possible. These are difficult times. We look forward to continuing our normal programs as soon as it is safe to do so. Further updates will be posted on our website, and on our Facebook page, Green Wood Coalition. Feel free to contact our staff at greenwoodcoaltion@gmail.com or 905-885-8700.
